female hands holding a phone and touches the screenMy friend Pam Green has been working busily to put an app together for people who are thinking about divorcing.  She has practiced family law for over 30 years, and she and I are both Fellows of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers and of the International Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers.  As you can tell, she stays abreast of new developments in this ever-changing field.

“We all have moments when we question our relationship, but there is a lot to consider before picking up the phone to call a divorce attorney,” Pam says. “The Grass is Greener app aims to keep couples together, by instigating a faster make-up time and providing resources that will benefit the relationship.” I agree; divorce attorneys are last resorts, and I encourage people who are thinking of a divorce to check out her app.  There are great resources and things to think about.  Of course, it’s tailored to the Minnesota area, but perhaps even knowing that there are people who can help you through tasks which are not you or your spouse’s forte can help keep your marriage together.

Of course, this isn’t limited to divorcing couples; separating (or just co-cohabiting) couples may do well to have a discussion about farming out responsibilities out before they become disappointments.
