The bill continues to make its way through the house and senate.
On March 19, the House Judiciary committee recommended that the Bill be placed on the General Register, and it was read on March 21, 2014.
On April 1, the Senate Committee on Judiciary also reported on the bill and recommended that it pass.
Now we are in a holding pattern, checking to see whether the bills in the house and in the senate pass without change or whether changes are made as a result of the floor vote. If changes are made, then there will have to be a conference committee to reconcile the bills and then each body has the opportunity to pass the bill before the May 19, 2014 deadline.
